I’m Nicole
I am a Power Markets Analyst based in the UK. My work focuses on the economics of UK-European electricity and hydrogen markets. Prior to this, I trained formally as a Mechanical Engineer.
Alongside my professional work, my main interests lie in understanding emerging electricity & energy markets. Originally from Sarawak, Malaysia, I started my energy career looking at hydrogen developments in Sarawak. I also look at wider developments in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
The purpose of this blog is at first as a way to present some of my learnings and personal interests on Sarawak and Malaysia’s energy space. But I soon started writing about other areas of interest. I write as a way to learn; it gives me a platform to think deeply about the topics I am interested in. Importantly, it is to attract some critique and feedback to improve my understanding of the world, at least a little each time.
